Message from the Dean
Thank you
for visiting the web site of the College of Health Professions at Armstrong
Atlantic State University. We are the most comprehensive
Health Professions Education Center in Georgia and serve the needs of
Southeast Georgia, South Carolina and Northern Florida. The College
offers an Associate Degree in Dental Hygiene as well as Bachelor's Degrees,
Master's Degrees and Certificate Programs in Communication Sciences and Disorders, Public Health, Health Sciences, Medical
Technology, Nursing, Radiologic Sciences, Rehabilitation Sciences,
and Respiratory Therapy. We also offer Doctor of Physical Therapy Degree in collaboration with the Medical College of Georgia.
Full accreditation is in place for all programs that require it.
Providing high quality educational
programs in each of these professions is a top priority for us.
We have dedicated and outstanding faculty who are committed to the success
of our students. As a result we consistently have high passing rates on
credentialing exams, well above the national averages. Our programs,
faculty and students are nationally recognized for excellence and have
received prestigious awards for their outstanding abilities. Faculty
research and scholarly activity insure that our programs remain at this
high level of performance.
Our students receive clinical
experience in a variety of venues. We have on-campus clinical facilities
and laboratories as well as a strong relationship with the regional health
care systems. Some programs have clinical affiliations throughout
the country. Together, these provide the best possible clinical
experiences for our students.
